Design a Custom BoardCMOS step-down linear voltage regulator with 3.0V fixed output, 250mA load capacity, and 6µA typical quiescent current. Features low dropout (operates at small Vin-Vout differential), ±2.5% output accuracy, and integrated overcurrent/short-circuit protection. Ideal for battery-powered applications requiring extended runtime such as portable electronics, cordless phones, and automotive systems.
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
