ASSEMBLY PROCESS
How It Works
Pick a chip
Browse our catalog of sensors, MCUs, power ICs, and more. Each listing shows the exact IC, its footprint, and which breakout configurations are available.
Filter by category, search by part number, or request a chip we don't carry yet. Every product page shows the full pinout, datasheet link, and pricing for each breakout size.
We assemble
Your IC is soldered onto a minimal breakout PCB with pre-soldered 2.54mm pin headers.
Boards are designed to be under 0.9" wide so they straddle a standard breadboard channel. Every pin is broken out — no pins hidden or left unconnected. Headers are pre-soldered so there's nothing for you to do. Prefer to solder your own? Choose "without headers" at checkout for a discount.
We ship
Inspected, packed, and posted. Orders ship from the UK with tracking.
Each board is visually inspected before packing. We currently ship to UK mainland addresses only — orders typically arrive in 1–3 days. Free UK shipping on larger orders.
Plug & go
Push it into your breadboard. All pins broken out to pre-soldered 2.54mm headers. Start prototyping immediately.
No soldering, no adapters, no level shifters to figure out. Wire directly to your microcontroller, connect power, and you're talking to the chip. Consult the IC datasheet — that's all you need.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Pure Breakout Boards. Nothing More.
No regulators, LEDs, or extra circuitry you don't need. We take the exact IC you want, solder it onto a minimal PCB, and break every pin out to pre-soldered 2.54mm headers. That's it.
Every board is designed to straddle a standard breadboard channel (under 0.9" wide). No abstraction, no magic — just the raw chip with all pins broken out, ready to plug into a breadboard. It's breadboarding — it doesn't need to be perfect, it needs to work.
Only genuine components from authorised distributors. All boards assembled with lead-free reflow and inspected before shipping.
What You Get
The exact IC you chose
No substitutions, no mystery components. The datasheet matches what's on the board.
Minimal breakout PCB
Under 0.9" wide to straddle a breadboard channel. No unnecessary extras.
2.54mm pin headers
Every pin broken out with pre-soldered headers. Plug straight into a breadboard.
Genuine components
Sourced from authorised distributors. Lead-free reflow assembly, inspected before shipping.
What You Don't Get
✕No voltage regulators, level shifters, or pull-ups baked in
✕No LEDs, buttons, or connectors beyond pin headers
✕No Arduino libraries or proprietary software
✕No abstraction layers between you and the silicon
You bring the circuit. We bring the chip.
Limitations & Caveats
Our breakout boards are designed for prototyping and evaluation. A bare breakout can't include bypass capacitors in the optimal locations, matched impedance traces, or the careful power plane layout that a purpose-built PCB would have. On a breadboard, you'll add your own decoupling caps, and that's fine — the point is to get the chip working and prove your circuit before committing to a real board.
Expect subtle differences in performance compared to a final PCB design — that's the nature of breadboarding. High-speed signals, sensitive analogue inputs, and tight power rail tolerances will all behave better on a proper PCB.
When you're ready to move beyond the breadboard, we can help. Our custom board service lets you add bypass caps, pull-ups, protection circuitry, and anything else your design needs — purpose-built for your application.
