About This Component

Dual-channel digital isolator with 5.7kV galvanic isolation rated for gate driver applications. Features integrated high-side and low-side gate drive channels in a 16-pin SOIC package. Commonly used in isolated switching power supplies, motor drives, and half-bridge gate driver circuits requiring robust isolation between control and power domains.

Why does this need a breakout?

SOIC-16W uses 1.27mm pitch and surface-mount construction, making it difficult to hand-solder and incompatible with breadboards. A breakout board converts the 16 pins to through-hole connectors, enabling direct breadboarding and eliminating soldering risk during prototyping of real-time clocks, transceivers, flash memory, and gate-drive optocouplers.
