Design a Custom BoardSynchronous buck converter IC with split-rail output capability for adjustable voltage regulation. Operates from 4.5V to 17V input with integrated high and low-side MOSFETs. Delivers up to 5.5A continuous current with built-in soft-start and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. Commonly used in multi-rail power supplies and industrial applications requiring independent voltage rails.
8-pin SOIC with exposed pad is difficult to hand-solder reliably due to tight 1.27mm pitch and thermal management requirements. A breakout board brings pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping while providing proper pad routing and thermal dissipation for audio amplifiers and gate drivers.
