Design a Custom BoardCMOS precision timer circuit operating up to 2MHz with rail-to-rail output and low 1mW power consumption at 5V. Functionally compatible with NE555 but features higher input impedance enabling smaller timing capacitors and more accurate timing. Supports single-supply operation from 2V to 15V with 100mA sink and 10mA source capability, suitable for pulse generation, PWM, and precision timing applications.
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
