Adjustable precision shunt regulator with 2.495V ± 1% reference voltage tolerance. Offers excellent temperature stability and sinks 1–100mA with low 0.2Ω output impedance. Output voltage programmable from 2.5V to 36V via external divider resistors; suitable for reference supplies, opto-coupler linearizers, and zener replacement applications.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
