IC TRANSCEIVER RS-422 QUAD DRIVER SO-16
STMicroelectronics

Bypass caps, pull-ups, strapping resistors, custom silkscreen & more
Design a Custom BoardQuad differential line driver IC for RS-422 serial communication over balanced twisted-pair lines. Accepts TTL/CMOS inputs and provides 3-state differential outputs with 6 ns propagation delay and 0.5 ns output skew. Operates from single 5V supply with low quiescent current, suitable for multi-drop bus applications and digital data transmission systems.
The 1.27mm pin pitch on this 16-pin package makes hand-soldering impractical and breadboard mounting impossible. A breakout board brings the pins to standard 2.54mm spacing, enabling quick prototyping of RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, ADCs, and line drivers without requiring surface-mount soldering skills or PCB fabrication.
