Microprocessor supervisor circuit monitoring power supply voltage with internal 2.9V threshold. Generates 140ms reset pulse when VCC falls below threshold, protecting digital systems from invalid operation during brownout conditions. Ultra-low 1µA supply current makes it ideal for portable and battery-powered applications.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
