Design a Custom Board8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register with tri-state outputs. Accepts serial data input and shifts it through 8 storage stages, outputting all bits simultaneously. Tri-state outputs enable bus driving and daisy-chaining. Commonly used for LED matrix control, port expansion, and parallel data communication in microcontroller applications.
The 1.27mm pin pitch on this 16-pin package makes hand-soldering impractical and breadboard mounting impossible. A breakout board brings the pins to standard 2.54mm spacing, enabling quick prototyping of RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, ADCs, and line drivers without requiring surface-mount soldering skills or PCB fabrication.
