About This Component

Cascadable broadband amplifier IC operating from 0.1 to 6.0 GHz with 18 dB typical gain at 2 GHz and +35 dBm OIP3. Features 50Ω input/output impedance for easy cascade configuration without matching networks. Housed in miniature SOT-89 package; suitable for wireless infrastructure, test instrumentation, and cable television applications.

Why does this need a breakout?

SOT-89-3 is too small and has leads too close together to hand-solder reliably or plug into breadboards. A breakout board spaces the three pins to standard 0.1" pitch, making it compatible with solderless prototyping and eliminating the need for fine-pitch soldering skills. Essential for rapid development with voltage regulators, transistors, and other common three-terminal devices.
