Design a Custom BoardBidirectional I2C-bus level translator and repeater for shifting between low voltage (0.9V to 2.7V) and higher voltage (2.7V to 5.5V) domains. Provides buffering for SDA and SCL lines with overvoltage tolerance and enables extension of two independent 400pF I2C buses. Supports hot-swap operation with 5.5kV ESD protection and requires VCC(A) above 0.8V and VCC(B) above 2.5V to enable drivers.
The 0.65mm pitch and tiny 3×3mm form factor make hand soldering challenging and impractical for breadboard prototyping. A breakout board converts this compact SMD package into a standard header layout, enabling reliable connections and rapid iteration without specialized soldering equipment or rework risk.
