Ultra-low-cost MEMS three-axis accelerometer using MEMSIC's proprietary thermal sensing technology with no moving parts. Provides 12-bit digital output for X/Y/Z axes with selectable full-scale ranges (±2g, ±4g, ±8g), 8-bit temperature output, and integrated shake/orientation detection via I2C interface. Operating range -40°C to +85°C with >200,000g shock survival rating; ideal for mobile devices, gaming controllers, and consumer electronics.

Why does this need a breakout?
This tiny 2x2mm LGA package with 0.5mm pitch is nearly impossible to hand-solder and incompatible with breadboards. A breakout board lets you solder the fine-pitch accelerometer once, then access I2C/SPI signals and power via standard headers for quick prototyping and testing.
