Features 1.25V reference voltage with external resistor divider for output voltage programming from 1.25V to 37V. Includes current limiting and thermal shutdown protection. Commonly used in power supplies, battery chargers, and general-purpose voltage regulation applications.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-223 three-pin regulators and transistors are difficult to hand-solder due to tight 1.5mm pitch and heat-sinking requirements. A breakout board brings standard 0.1" header spacing, eliminating soldering challenges and enabling immediate breadboard prototyping without rework or micro-soldering tools.
