Low-dropout linear regulator with 200 mA output current, adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to VIN minus dropout, and ultra-low quiescent current (100 µA max, 1 µA shutdown). Features 100 mV typical dropout at 100 mA load, very low noise, and ceramic capacitor compatible output. Ideal for battery-powered devices including mobile phones, PDAs, and digital cameras.

Why does this need a breakout?
This 0.4mm pitch DFN-6 package is impossible to hand solder reliably without specialized equipment. A breakout board routes the tiny pads to standard 2.54mm headers, enabling breadboard prototyping of LDO regulators and similar ICs that would otherwise require reflow soldering or rework stations.
