Low-dropout linear voltage regulator providing fixed 3.3V output at up to 800mA in a compact SOT-223 surface-mount package. Features 1V typical dropout voltage, ±1% output accuracy at 25°C, internal current and thermal limiting, and requires only a 10µF stabilization capacitor. Ideal for battery-powered and space-constrained applications requiring regulated 3.3V rails.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-223 three-pin regulators and transistors are difficult to hand-solder due to tight 1.5mm pitch and heat-sinking requirements. A breakout board brings standard 0.1" header spacing, eliminating soldering challenges and enabling immediate breadboard prototyping without rework or micro-soldering tools.
