Fixed low-dropout voltage regulator providing 1.2V output at up to 800mA with typical 1V dropout voltage. Features ±1% accuracy at 25°C, internal current and thermal limiting, and 75dB supply voltage rejection. Requires only a 10µF stabilizing capacitor and is suitable for battery-powered and space-constrained applications.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-223 three-pin regulators and transistors are difficult to hand-solder due to tight 1.5mm pitch and heat-sinking requirements. A breakout board brings standard 0.1" header spacing, eliminating soldering challenges and enabling immediate breadboard prototyping without rework or micro-soldering tools.
