Why does this need a breakout?
This 0.4mm pitch DFN package is impossible to hand solder reliably and has exposed pads inaccessible to breadboards. A breakout board brings the I2C accelerometer to standard 0.1-inch headers, eliminating micro-soldering challenges and enabling rapid prototyping on breadboards or perfboard.
