Design a Custom Board8-stage serial-in/parallel-out shift register with separate shift and storage register clocks and 3-state outputs. Features cascadable serial outputs (QS1, QS2), parallel outputs (QP0-QP7), and output enable control for high-impedance operation. Operates from 3.0V to 15.0V with CMOS low power consumption and ESD protection up to 2000V HBM.
The 1.27mm pin pitch on this 16-pin package makes hand-soldering impractical and breadboard mounting impossible. A breakout board brings the pins to standard 2.54mm spacing, enabling quick prototyping of RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, ADCs, and line drivers without requiring surface-mount soldering skills or PCB fabrication.
