Six independent unbuffered CMOS inverter gates in a 14-lead SO package. Operates from 3.0V to 15.0V supply with low power dissipation and high noise immunity. Input clamp diodes allow direct interface to higher voltages using current-limiting resistors. Suitable for logic inversion, oscillators, and general CMOS signal conditioning applications.

Why does this need a breakout?
Manual soldering of 1.27mm pitch SOIC-14 leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board eliminates this with pre-soldered pads and convenient 0.1-inch headers for breadboard prototyping. Ideal for developing capacitive touch sensor applications or other logic circuits without the fine-pitch assembly hassle.
