Housed in compact 8-pin SO package with exposed thermal pad for efficient heat dissipation in stepper motor and solenoid control applications.

Why does this need a breakout?
8-pin SOIC with exposed pad is difficult to hand-solder reliably due to tight 1.27mm pitch and thermal management requirements. A breakout board brings pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping while providing proper pad routing and thermal dissipation for audio amplifiers and gate drivers.
