Features 50Ω typical on-resistance, 150ns switching time, and minimal charge injection (1pC) making it suitable for sample-and-hold and audio switching applications. TTL/CMOS compatible logic inputs, low power consumption, and latchup protection via epitaxial layer construction.

Why does this need a breakout?
The 1.27mm pin pitch on this 16-pin package makes hand-soldering impractical and breadboard mounting impossible. A breakout board brings the pins to standard 2.54mm spacing, enabling quick prototyping of RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, ADCs, and line drivers without requiring surface-mount soldering skills or PCB fabrication.
