Programmable oscillator and timer IC with maximum frequency of 100 kHz, suitable for timing and frequency generation applications. Features internal oscillator with external RC timing network, single supply operation, and low power consumption. Commonly used in frequency dividers, timers, and pulse generation circuits.

Why does this need a breakout?

Manual soldering of 1.27mm pitch SOIC-14 leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board eliminates this with pre-soldered pads and convenient 0.1-inch headers for breadboard prototyping.
