ATtiny402 is an automotive-grade 8-bit microcontroller featuring an AVR CPU running up to 16 MHz with 4KB Flash, 256B SRAM, and 128B EEPROM. It includes integrated peripherals: USART, SPI, I2C (Fm+), 10-bit ADC, RTC, and timers with configurable logic. The device supports multiple sleep modes for low-power applications and operates across -40°C to 125°C.

Why does this need a breakout?
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
