ATtiny26 is a low-power 8-bit AVR microcontroller with 2KB flash memory, 128B EEPROM, and 128B SRAM. Features include dual 8-bit timers with PWM outputs, 10-bit ADC with 11 single-ended and 8 differential channels, SPI interface, and programmable watchdog. Operates at up to 16MHz with flexible supply voltage (4.5-5.5V), making it suitable for embedded control, sensor interfaces, and low-power applications.

Why does this need a breakout?
The 1.27mm pin pitch makes hand-soldering this 20-pin SOIC challenging and error-prone. A breakout board brings all pins to standard 0.1" spacing, enabling reliable breadboard prototyping and simplifying development of USB-to-UART interfaces without requiring reflow soldering or specialized equipment.
