Adjustable precision shunt regulator with 0.5% voltage tolerance and three-terminal configuration. Provides programmable output voltage from 2.5V to 36V with low temperature coefficient (20ppm/°C typical) and sink current capacity of 1–100mA. Ideal for switching power supplies, chargers, and precision voltage reference applications with guaranteed thermal stability over -40 to +125°C.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
