Low-dropout linear regulator delivering 1A continuous output current at 3.3V with ±1.5% accuracy. Features low quiescent current (60μA typical), low output noise (30μVRMS), and fold-back short circuit protection. Stable with standard ceramic, tantalum, or aluminum electrolytic capacitors, making it suitable for LCD displays, televisions, and set-top boxes.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-223 three-pin regulators and transistors are difficult to hand-solder due to tight 1.5mm pitch and heat-sinking requirements. A breakout board brings standard 0.1" header spacing, eliminating soldering challenges and enabling immediate breadboard prototyping without rework or micro-soldering tools.
