Adjustable positive low-dropout linear regulator delivering up to 1A output current with typical 1.2V dropout at rated load. Features ±1.5% output accuracy, programmable output voltage via external resistor divider, integrated current limiting and thermal shutdown protection. Designed for portable electronics, battery chargers, and SMPS post-regulation applications operating from -40°C to 125°C.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-223 three-pin regulators and transistors are difficult to hand-solder due to tight 1.5mm pitch and heat-sinking requirements. A breakout board brings standard 0.1" header spacing, eliminating soldering challenges and enabling immediate breadboard prototyping without rework or micro-soldering tools.
