Ultra-low-power three-axis MEMS accelerometer with selectable full-scale ranges (±2g to ±16g) and output rates from 1.6 Hz to 1600 Hz. Features 32-level FIFO buffer, I²C/SPI digital interface, integrated temperature sensor, and motion detection engine for free-fall and tap recognition. Designed for automotive applications including telematics, navigation, and impact detection with extended temperature operation (-40°C to +115°C).

Why does this need a breakout?
This tiny 2x2mm LGA package with 0.5mm pitch is nearly impossible to hand-solder and incompatible with breadboards. A breakout board lets you solder the fine-pitch accelerometer once, then access I2C/SPI signals and power via standard headers for quick prototyping and testing.
