Design a Custom BoardHalf-duplex isolated RS-485 transceiver with 2.5 kV galvanic isolation using iCoupler technology. Supports 500 kbps data rate with slew-rate limiting, operates at 3 V or 5 V logic side, and accommodates up to 256 nodes on a bus. Features true fail-safe receiver inputs, thermal shutdown protection, and high common-mode transient immunity exceeding 25 kV/μs for reliable multipoint data transmission and isolated network applications.
SOIC-16W uses 1.27mm pitch and surface-mount construction, making it difficult to hand-solder and incompatible with breadboards. A breakout board converts the 16 pins to through-hole connectors, enabling direct breadboarding and eliminating soldering risk during prototyping of real-time clocks, transceivers, flash memory, and gate-drive optocouplers.
