Fixed-output linear voltage regulator providing 10V at up to 100mA from input supplies up to 35V. Features low quiescent current (2-4.3mA) and 0.5W power dissipation in compact SOT-89 package. Typical applications include post-regulation, low-current power supplies, and auxiliary power in battery-powered systems. Dropout voltage of 1.7V enables use in 12V-derived designs.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-89-3 is too small and has leads too close together to hand-solder reliably or plug into breadboards. A breakout board spaces the three pins to standard 0.1" pitch, making it compatible with solderless prototyping and eliminating the need for fine-pitch soldering skills. Essential for rapid development with voltage regulators, transistors, and other common three-terminal devices.
