4-to-16 line decoder/demultiplexer with integrated input latches and enable control. Converts 4 binary address inputs (A0-A3) into 16 mutually-exclusive outputs (Q0-Q15). Features latch enable (LE) for output stability and output enable (E) control. Operates from 2.0V to 6.0V with low power CMOS technology; HCT variant provides TTL-compatible input levels. Ideal for address decoding, digital multiplexing, and hexadecimal/BCD decoding applications.

Why does this need a breakout?
Hand-soldering 0.65mm pitch traces is difficult without proper equipment; a breakout board with standard 0.1in header spacing lets you breadboard-prototype and test these compact devices easily. Commonly used for I2C/SMBus I/O expanders and mixed-signal microcontrollers, this breakout eliminates fine-pitch soldering and allows rapid iteration during development.
