Features three selectable phase comparators (XOR, J-K, RS flipflop) for flexible synchronization applications. Operates from 2.0 to 6.0 V with low power consumption, excellent frequency stability, and ESD protection. Ideal for frequency synthesis, FM demodulation, tone decoding, and data synchronization.

Why does this need a breakout?
The 1.27mm pin pitch on this 16-pin package makes hand-soldering impractical and breadboard mounting impossible. A breakout board brings the pins to standard 2.54mm spacing, enabling quick prototyping of RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, ADCs, and line drivers without requiring surface-mount soldering skills or PCB fabrication.
