Operates from 2.0V to 6.0V with TTL-level inputs (HCT variant). Counts on HIGH-to-LOW clock transitions and can divide by any binary module up to 256 when cascaded.

Why does this need a breakout?
The 0.65mm pitch on this 14-pin package makes hand soldering tedious and error-prone without magnification and fine tools. A breakout board routes each pin to standard 0.1-inch headers, enabling breadboard prototyping and simplifying connections for LIN transceivers, ADCs, digital potentiometers, and microcontrollers that typically come in this footprint.
