The 74HCT365 is a hex buffer/line driver IC with three-state outputs controlled by separate output enable inputs. Each of six buffers features non-inverting outputs that can be disabled to high impedance, making it ideal for bus-driven applications. Operates from 2.0V to 6.0V with TTL-compatible input levels and includes ESD protection exceeding 2000V HBM.

Why does this need a breakout?
The 1.27mm pin pitch on this 16-pin package makes hand-soldering impractical and breadboard mounting impossible. A breakout board brings the pins to standard 2.54mm spacing, enabling quick prototyping of RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, ADCs, and line drivers without requiring surface-mount soldering skills or PCB fabrication.
