The 74HCT125 is a quad buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs, designed for TTL-level interfacing. Each of four independent buffers has an active-low output enable (OE) control that places outputs in high-impedance state when disabled. Operates from 4.5V to 5.5V with input clamp diodes for overvoltage tolerance, ideal for bus driving and logic level conversion applications.

Why does this need a breakout?
Manual soldering of 1.27mm pitch SOIC-14 leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board eliminates this with pre-soldered pads and convenient 0.1-inch headers for breadboard prototyping. Ideal for developing capacitive touch sensor applications or other logic circuits without the fine-pitch assembly hassle.
