2. These terms
By placing an order or creating an account on Breadboard.it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time โ the version in effect at the time of your order applies.
3. Products
We sell assembled breakout boards: surface-mount ICs soldered onto PCBs with 2.54mm pin headers. Product listings describe the IC, package, pin count, and breakout configuration.
All components are genuine, sourced from authorised distributors. Assembly is lead-free reflow. Each board is inspected before dispatch.
Product images and 3D renders are for illustration. The physical board may differ slightly in silkscreen placement, solder finish, or PCB colour shade.
4. Pricing & payment
Prices on the UK site are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Prices may change at any time, but the price at the time you place your order is the price you pay.
Despite our best efforts, products may occasionally be listed at an incorrect price. If we discover a pricing error, we will contact you before dispatching the order and offer you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We are not obliged to fulfil orders placed at an incorrect price.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Your order is an offer to purchase. We accept your order when it is dispatched. We will send you a dispatch confirmation email at that point.
5. Orders & dispatch
Order confirmation is sent to your email address. Dispatch timelines vary by stock and assembly state โ see the Shipping & Returns page for details on your region.
We ship from the United Kingdom. Orders may be subject to local import duties and taxes on arrival, which are your responsibility unless otherwise indicated at checkout.
6. Cancellation & returns
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
To cancel, contact us at hello@breadboard.it with your order number. You must return the goods within the cancellation window above, at your own cost. You may handle the goods as necessary to establish their nature and characteristics, but we may reduce your refund if the value is diminished by excessive handling.
We will refund the full purchase price (including original delivery costs) within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
Custom board orders (quotes) are made to your specification and are exempt from the cancellation right once production has begun, except where the product is faulty.
See our Returns & Shipping page for full details.
7. Faulty goods
If you believe a product is faulty or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have statutory rights, including the right to reject faulty goods within 30 days in many cases, and to a repair, replacement, or refund thereafter. These statutory rights are not affected by any time limit we suggest for getting in touch.
We may ask for a photo or description of the fault. We will cover return postage for confirmed faulty items.
8. Accounts
You may create an account to track orders, submit chip requests, and request custom board quotes. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
We may suspend or close accounts that are used in breach of these terms.
9. Intellectual property
All content on Breadboard.it (text, images, designs, code) is owned by Arcneon Limited unless otherwise stated. Product datasheets remain the property of their respective manufacturers.
You may use our breakout boards in any project (personal, commercial, educational) without restriction. The boards themselves carry no licence terms.
10. Limitation of liability
Our breakout boards are prototyping tools. They are not certified for use in safety-critical, medical, automotive, or aerospace applications. We are not liable for any damage arising from the use of our products in such applications.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the price you paid for the product in question. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the consumer protection laws that apply in your country.
11. Cookies & privacy
We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to run the site โ including an opaque cart identifier (bb_cart) that remembers the contents of your basket, and a record of your cookie choices (bb_consent), neither of which is linked to your identity โ and, only with your consent, optional analytics and marketing cookies. Non-essential cookies are off by default and you can accept, decline, or withdraw consent for each category at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
