Current mode PWM controller IC for offline and DC-DC converter applications supporting boost and flyback topologies. Features trimmed oscillator with precise frequency control up to 500kHz, internal UVLO with hysteresis (8.5V on/7.9V off threshold), latching PWM with cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and high current totem pole output suitable for driving N-channel MOSFETs. Includes 5V 50mA internal reference and minimal external component requirements.

Why does this need a breakout?
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
