Supports push-pull and open-drain applications with no direction control signal required, reaching 110 Mbps push-pull speeds. Ideal for translating between microcontroller voltage domains in mobile devices and mixed-voltage systems.

Why does this need a breakout?
Hand-soldering 0.65mm pitch leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board with standard 0.1" headers lets you prototype I/O expanders and logic gates on breadboards without a reflow oven. The compact SSOP package also becomes DIP-friendly, eliminating jumper spaghetti and reducing assembly mistakes during development cycles.
