Bypass caps, pull-ups, strapping resistors, custom silkscreen & more
Design a Custom Board16-bit I/O expander providing parallel port expansion via I2C/SMBus interface for microcontrollers with limited GPIO. Operates at 1.65V to 5.5V with 5V-tolerant I/O ports, configurable polarity inversion, and open-drain interrupt output. Ideal for servers, routers, industrial automation, and systems requiring remote GPIO expansion.
Hand-soldering 0.65mm pitch traces is difficult without proper equipment; a breakout board with standard 0.1in header spacing lets you breadboard-prototype and test these compact devices easily. Commonly used for I2C/SMBus I/O expanders and mixed-signal microcontrollers, this breakout eliminates fine-pitch soldering and allows rapid iteration during development.
