Design a Custom BoardHalf-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with low 300 µA quiescent current, operating from a single 5V supply. Features ±15kV ESD protection, 30ns propagation delay, and supports up to 256 devices on the bus. Includes short-circuit current limiting and thermal shutdown protection for robust industrial communication applications.
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
