Design a Custom BoardCurrent-mode PWM controller for offline AC-DC switching power supplies, supporting forward and flyback topologies. Features adjustable switching frequency up to 500 kHz, peak current mode control, latched overcurrent protection, and brown-out detection. Designed for cost-sensitive ATX and gaming adapter applications with 9-28V operating range and maximum 50-80% duty cycle depending on variant.
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
