Design a Custom BoardThe MCP1702 is a CMOS low-dropout linear regulator delivering 250 mA output current with exceptionally low 2.0 µA quiescent current, ideal for battery-powered applications. It operates from 2.7V to 13.2V input with 625 mV typical dropout at 250 mA and ±0.4% output accuracy. Includes built-in overcurrent and overtemperature protection, stable with minimal output capacitance (1 µF).
SOT-23's tiny 0.95mm pin pitch and compact form factor make hand-soldering tedious and prone to bridging errors. A breakout board breaks out the three pins to standard 0.1" spacing for breadboard prototyping, eliminating the need for specialized soldering equipment and enabling fast circuit iteration with transistors, diodes, and small-signal components.
