Design a Custom Board64-Kbit serial EEPROM with I2C interface supporting 100 kHz, 400 kHz, and 1 MHz bus modes. Organized as 8K × 8 bits with 32-byte page writes completing in 5 ms. Operates from 1.7–5.5 V with over 4 million write cycles and 200-year data retention. Includes write protection and enhanced ESD protection.
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
