Features 1V typical dropout voltage, ±1% output tolerance at 25°C, and integrated current/thermal limiting. Requires only a 10µF bypass capacitor for stable operation, making it ideal for powering microcontrollers, sensors, and other 5V logic circuits.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-223 three-pin regulators and transistors are difficult to hand-solder due to tight 1.5mm pitch and heat-sinking requirements. A breakout board brings standard 0.1" header spacing, eliminating soldering challenges and enabling immediate breadboard prototyping without rework or micro-soldering tools.
