Four-channel digital isolator with 5kV reinforced isolation between input and output sides. Provides high-speed signal isolation for SPI, I2C, and general-purpose digital signals in automotive and industrial applications. Common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 25kV/µs enables reliable operation in high-noise environments. 16-SOIC package.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOIC-16W uses 1.27mm pitch and surface-mount construction, making it difficult to hand-solder and incompatible with breadboards. A breakout board converts the 16 pins to through-hole connectors, enabling direct breadboarding and eliminating soldering risk during prototyping of real-time clocks, transceivers, flash memory, and gate-drive optocouplers.
