Design a Custom BoardThe AZ34063U is a monolithic switching regulator control circuit for step-down, step-up, and inverting DC-DC converter applications. It integrates a temperature-compensated 1.25V reference, voltage comparator, PWM oscillator with current limiting, and a 1.5A output switch. Operates from 3.0V to 36V input with adjustable output voltage and up to 180kHz switching frequency, ideal for battery chargers, modems, and power supplies.
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
