Adjustable low-dropout linear regulator delivering up to 1A output current with 1.15V dropout at rated load. Output voltage adjustable from 1.25V to 12V using two external resistors. Includes trimmed bandgap reference for ±1% accuracy, current limiting, and on-chip thermal shutdown protection for safe operation across -40°C to +125°C. Suitable for PC motherboards, LCD monitors, modems, and consumer electronics.

Why does this need a breakout?
SOT-223 three-pin regulators and transistors are difficult to hand-solder due to tight 1.5mm pitch and heat-sinking requirements. A breakout board brings standard 0.1" header spacing, eliminating soldering challenges and enabling immediate breadboard prototyping without rework or micro-soldering tools.
