Design a Custom BoardThe ATtiny87 is a low-power AVR 8-bit microcontroller with 8KB flash memory, 512 bytes each of SRAM and EEPROM, and 16 programmable I/O lines. It features a LIN/UART controller, dual timers (8-bit and 16-bit), 10-bit ADC with differential channels and programmable gain, SPI interface, and on-chip temperature sensor. Operating at 1.8-5.5V with internal oscillator and debugWIRE debug support, it is suited for embedded control, sensor acquisition, and automotive applications.
Hand-soldering 0.65mm pitch leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board with standard 0.1" headers lets you prototype I/O expanders and logic gates on breadboards without a reflow oven. The compact SSOP package also becomes DIP-friendly, eliminating jumper spaghetti and reducing assembly mistakes during development cycles.
