Hall-effect based linear current sensor IC for AC/DC current measurement up to ±30A with 2.4 kVRMS galvanic isolation. Features low-offset chopper-stabilized BiCMOS Hall circuit, 1.2mΩ internal conductor resistance, and ratiometric analog output (66-185mV/A). Typical applications include motor control, overcurrent protection, load detection, and switch-mode power supplies.

Why does this need a breakout?
An 8-pin SOIC with 1.27mm pitch is too fine for breadboards and hand-soldering without a microscope. A breakout board routes these pins to standard 0.1" headers, enabling rapid prototyping and reliable connections for op-amps, transceivers, and small power MOSFETs without requiring reflow equipment.
