8-bit bidirectional bus transceiver with 3-state outputs and TTL-level inputs. Features output enable (OE) and direction control (DIR) pins for controlling data flow between two independent 8-bit buses. Supports 4.5V to 5.5V operation with wide supply range (2.0V to 6.0V), CMOS low power, and integrated ESD protection exceeding 2000V HBM. Ideal for legacy TTL systems and mixed-voltage bus interfaces.

Why does this need a breakout?
Hand-soldering 0.65mm pitch leads is tedious and error-prone; a breakout board with standard 0.1" headers lets you prototype I/O expanders and logic gates on breadboards without a reflow oven. The compact SSOP package also becomes DIP-friendly, eliminating jumper spaghetti and reducing assembly mistakes during development cycles.
